The project arrives as another major statement from an artist whose influence has helped bring Afrobeats into arenas, festivals and mainstream music conversations around the world. With ORIADÉ, Davido balances celebratory records with reflections on purpose, growth and the path that carried him to his current position.

Davido Reflects on Identity With “I Know Who I Be”

Davido first introduced the world of ORIADÉ through “I Know Who I Be,” a collaboration with JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay.

The record finds Davido reflecting on the journey that carried him toward his destiny as the “King of Afrobeats.” Its message is rooted in self-knowledge, perseverance, and the confidence that comes from understanding one’s purpose.

The accompanying music video brings that journey full circle by returning Davido to the childhood home where his story began. Cameos from longtime collaborators and members of his team reinforce the song’s connection to the people and places that contributed to his rise.

Rather than presenting success as an individual achievement, the visual recognizes the community behind the artist and the foundation beneath his global accomplishments.

“Gimme Dat Ting” Blends Afrobeats and Amapiano

The album’s second single, “Gimme Dat Ting,” pairs Davido with NO11 for a rhythm-driven fusion of Afrobeats and Amapiano.

Davido leans into the confidence that has long defined his catalog, celebrating ambition, achievement, and the rewards that can follow sustained effort.

The song provides a more immediate and energetic counterpart to the reflective tone of “I Know Who I Be.” Together, the two singles established the range listeners can expect from ORIADÉ.

One record looks back at the road behind Davido, while the other embraces the confidence and momentum of his present.

ORIADÉ Connects African and Global Sounds

Davido appears in profile on the official artwork for his sixth studio album, ORIADÉ.

The featured artists reflect Davido’s ability to move between regional scenes and international audiences without losing the musical identity at the center of his work.

Ghanaian star Black Sherif appears on “Amazing Grace,” while Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and producer Leon Thomas joins Davido on “Tell Everybody.”

French-Malian superstar Aya Nakamura contributes to “Yaya,” expanding the album’s connection to Francophone audiences. Nigerian artists Mayorkun and Fola unite on “B4 B4,” while Llona appears on the closing track, “My Light.”

The collaborations allow ORIADÉ to move through different vocal styles, rhythms and cultural influences while maintaining a cohesive Afrobeats foundation.

A New Chapter in Davido’s Global Story

Across ORIADÉ, Davido continues exploring the relationship between personal history and public success.

The album title, crown imagery and references to royalty frame the project as a declaration of position, but the music also acknowledges the experiences, relationships and decisions that made the journey possible.

That balance has remained essential to Davido’s appeal. His records can function as celebrations while still carrying stories about family, resilience, responsibility and the realities surrounding achievement.

With ORIADÉ, he presents a body of work that recognizes how far he has traveled while keeping his foundation visible.
