The Hollywood Reporter has revealed a first look (above) of Comedy Central’s upcoming sitcom Everybody Still Hates Chris, an animated series inspired by the UPN/CW sitcom Everybody Hates Chris. It will premiere on September 25th.
Similar to the original live-action show, which ran from 2005 to 2009, Everybody Still Hates Chris will have Chris Rock narrating tales from his childhood in Brooklyn. Tichina Arnold and Terry Crews reprise their roles as Chris’ parents, Rochelle and Julius. Tim Johnson Jr. voices the young Chris, with Terrence Little Gardenhigh and Ozioma Akagha portraying his siblings, Drew and Tonya. Gunnar Sizemore voices Greg, Chris’ best friend at school.
The series is produced by CBS Studios through its animation branch, Eye Animation Productions, in partnership with Chris Rock Enterprises and 3 Arts Entertainment. The show entered development in 2021, with Comedy Central placing a series order in 2022.
Everybody Still Hates Chris will be part of Comedy Central’s animated lineup, joining shows like the long-running South Park and Digman!, which has been renewed for a second season.
