As the cast & crew of Jaro’s Media’s original series Silver & Gold gear up to grace the red carpets of the New Jersey Webfest in September and the Minnesota Webfest in October, they’ll have to keep their calendars free in November as it has been announced that Silver & Gold has been named an official selection of the Peachtree Village International Film Festival.
The announcement is the latest in a hot streak of film festival selections and awards wins for the series. Including nominations and wins from prestigious institutions such as The Oniros Film Awards (Best Supporting Actor) The Festigious Film Festival (Best Web Series) and the Cult Critic Movie Awards (Best Web Series, Best Director) with many of these festivals taking place across the country and abroad, The Peachtree Village International Film Festival marks the first time the series will be recognized by a local Atlanta based establishment.
Founded in 2005 by Len Gibson and James “JB” Brown, PVIFF has served as the launching pad for many successful filmmakers and other artists alike in the film & entertainment industry. This dynamic international film festival showcases feature length films, shorts, music videos, documentaries, and screenplays from around the globe. PVIFF also feature celebrity attractions, innovative workshops, panels, parties, and much more. Silver & Gold is created, written, and directed by Alonge Hawes. The series stars Quentin Williams and Brittaney Traylor as a pair of crafty and industrious thieves looking to make their fortunes within the Atlanta criminal underground. When they hire a brilliant computer hacker (Shani Hawes) and a brawny conman (Roberto Cruz Jr.) to assist in their ever escalating and daring heists, it seems like a match made in thieves heaven. But when a shadowy figure from the past threatens the riches of the present, the four criminals will face a challenge that no pick can unlock, and no code can crack.
Silver & Gold also stars Julian Robinson, Joshua Quinn, Angela Van Tassel, Pantheah Hawes, Roxzane T. Mims, Eduardo Bryant, Joshua Dennard, Marcus Patterson, Kiren Red, and Lasada Lloyd. Alonge Hawes, Eduardo Bryant, and Mary Bouche serve as executive producers. Shani Hawes, Quentin Williams, Joshua Dennard, Cordarol Sanders, Jamal Mcclendon and Rodderick Fedd serve as producers.
The Peachtree Village International Film Festival will take place November 7-10th in Atlanta, Ga.
