With all of the concerts and festivals being postponed due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, creativity and innovation is needed because music is a vital source for joy, healing, and connection.
The fabulous jazz festival located in Switzerland has yet to determine a new date, but organizers have shared a plethora of archived full performances to their partner’s live music streamer, Stingray Quello, so that we can enjoy timeless concerts from our living room.
Musicians include James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Nina Simone, Isaac Hayes, The Wu-Tang Clan, Run DMC, and more. The festival’s CEO Mathieu Jaton said in a statement: “We are excited to bring the magic of Montreux Jazz Festival into people’s homes, making that unique atmosphere and those unrivaled moments available on-demand. We hope that, during these difficult times, fans can enjoy these concerts as a reminder of the sense of community the festival fostered for over 50 years.”
You can access the performances for free during their current promotion, which gives users a 30 day free trial. Ready to lose yourself in soulful music? Click here to learn how to get started.
