Donald Glover premiered the trailer for his forthcoming movie, “Bando Stone & The New World,” at the 2024 BET Awards. He also announced that his new Childish Gambino song, “Lithonia,” featured in the trailer, will be released on July 2.
In the preview, Glover plays singer Bando Stone, who is trying to deliver mail on an abandoned island. He encounters one of the few other residents, played by Jessica Allain, and they team up along with Allain’s child. Together, they face a series of challenges of survival throughout the night, including monsters, laser beams, and more.
In August, Childish Gambino will embark on a tour across North America, Europe, and Oceania. The New World Tour, his first since 2019, will feature Amaarae and Willow as opening acts on select dates. The tour will continue into early next year.
