WATCH: Kids Report On Black Excellence In Amusing CNN Parody

BREAKING NEWS: Black excellence is at an all-time high!

Because Of Them We Can kicked off this year’s Black History Month in the most adorable way: by producing a parody news segment narrated by children. Titled “Breaking News: Black Excellence Is At An All Time High,” the report is told by pint-sized versions of Angela Rye, Don Lemon, Bakari Sellers, April Ryan, and Symone Sanders.

In the 2-minute segment, the future journalists highlighted many inspirational men and women such as Oprah, film director Ava DuVernay, fashion innovator Dapper Dan, SheaMoisture founder Richelieu Dennis, Serena Williams, and more. Of course, the upcoming films Black Panther and A Wrinkle in Time were mentioned as well, along with the most monumental and groundbreaking black films in 2017. They were also sure to mention the historical election victories in Alabama, Virginia, and North Carolina. Throughout the report, the children hilariously captured the essence of the CNN reporters.

Happy Black History Month, and let’s continue keeping black excellence at an all-time high!
