A partnership has forged between The African American Film Critics Association and Turner Classic movies that will bring much needed programming into the homes of many. The Black Experience is a month-long endeavor that uses key films to trace the history of African American cinema. The channel will begin airing classic films from September 4th until the 27th. The Black Experience will include well-known critics as they discuss key movies that fit within designated themes. September 25th boasts writer Edward Adams and AFFCA co-founder Shawn Edwards as they discuss the comedic classics Watermelon Man (1970) and Hollywood Shuffle (1987).
